CFP: Kyoto Univ’s workshop on living heritage sites
International cross-sectoral interdisciplinary online workshop on living heritage sites
February 22, 2022
With support of Kyoto University’s CSEAS, KURA & CPIER departments.
Workshop on heritage preservation, ‘creative destruction’ and creative tourism development in so called ‘living heritage sites’, such as popular historic towns, traditional villages or preserved districts inside cities. Even though those are hard times for the tourism sector, it is also an opportunity to look over the situation in the popular sites during the current slowdown in mass-tourism development.
If your work/research is related to the living heritage sites, you are welcome to apply to present at the workshop. After the workshop, we’re planning to apply to an international leading academic journal for publishing a special issue on living heritage sites with about ten articles of the participants.
The participation in workshop is free of charge. All the presentations, submitted proposals and articles shall be in English.
