This year we dedicated the conference to AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT. The purpose of audience development is to expand the audiences of museums and other heritage facilities. This is an area of growing interest since the end of the last century and has evolved in parallel with the evolution of society and museums. The analysis of this evolution reveals the polysemy of the term public development at the present time.
The program reflects the polysemy of the concept of public development, both in the international models and in the cases of Catalan museums, to which we deeply appreciate their participation in the Conference.
