A walk through Archaeology in the Archaeological Museum of Banyoles
From the 14th January to the 26th February the Comarcal Museum of Archaeology of Banyoles hosts the exhibition “A walk trough Archaeology”. The exhibition makes a course through history and the actual vision about the uses of the archaeological heritage in the region of Girona.
The exhibition is part of the I+D+i project “The patrimonialisation of archaeology. Conceptualizations and current uses of archaeological heritage”, coordinated by the ICRPC. The main objective has been to investigate the different concepts and uses of archaeological heritage that coexist today, in a study developed between 2008 and 2011. The Ministry of Science and Innovation (currently Minstry of Economy and Competitivity) has funded the project.
It is a travelling exhibit that has already been placed in l’Escala, Sant Julià de Ramis (Girona), the monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants of Girona and Roses, and will also be displayed in other points of the Girona region. The exhibition it’s available for the institutions that may want to host it.
