Els públics del patrimoni cultural

The study of heritage audiences aims to deepen the understanding of museum and heritage site visitors, as well as their interactions with cultural heritage. Audience analysis allows for a better understanding of visitor profiles, motivations, and experiences, facilitating the design of strategies to promote more inclusive and participatory access.
In recent years, standardized data collection models have been developed, becoming reference standards in the heritage sector. This work has enabled the generation of both quantitative and qualitative studies on cultural participation, visitor dynamics, and the social impact of heritage institutions. Innovative methodologies have also been promoted for analyzing digital audiences and evaluating educational programs and community participation initiatives.
This research has direct applicability in heritage planning and management, as it provides relevant information for decision-making in museums and cultural institutions. The training and capacity-building of professionals in the sector has also been a key focus, through seminars, publications, and working tools that encourage the incorporation of audience perspectives into heritage policies.
Finally, networking and collaboration with other institutions, both locally and internationally, have strengthened the positioning of this research field within the global debate on heritage audiences and their role in building a more participatory society that is aware of its cultural legacy.
