This report aims to generate information that is useful for those heritage facilities that periodically analyze the main indicators of their website and other digital media and that wish to know the evolution of the digital magnitudes of the main facilities in the country.
Currently, both the website and social networks are fundamental channels in the communication strategy of most museums and heritage facilities. In fact, the results of the Cultural Participation Survey in Catalonia 20201 indicate that, among people who visit museums, the internet is the main means of communication for information: 44.1% declare using the museum website, 15.0% use other websites and 17.3% use social networks and mobile applications.
