Description
Today, in the diffuse margins of the concept of heritage asset, there remain some architectural typologies, whose value is recognized by the Cultural Heritage Law of Catalonia of 1993, but which in practice continue to be ignored in heritage catalogues. Our objective is to draw up a census of these elements, study their current situation and analyze the reasons (historical, ideological and aesthetic) that have left them on the threshold of what is mostly considered heritage.
Objectives
To produce a register of both conserved and lost elements.
To study the current uses and future prospects of conserved elements.
To compare the situation regarding the conservation and protection of this type of heritage in Catalonia with that of other European countries.
Methodology and work plan
Empty from the Heritage Inventory of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the respective municipal catalogues.
Field work to know the current state and future prospects for each element studied.
Compilation of bibliographic data regarding the protection of this heritage at European level.
