Evaluating the Impact of Augmented and Virtual Reality

From the breathtaking immersive experiences of the late 19th century, such as the Chicago Fire Cyclorama, to today’s cutting-edge digital projects, immersive storytelling has evolved dramatically. The Chicago History Museum, through its Chicago00 initiative, explores how augmented and virtual reality technologies can deeply and meaningfully connect audiences to history. This project marks an important step forward in applying new digital tools to transform learning and cultural experiences, while also integrating impact evaluation to ensure the educational and emotional effectiveness of its initiatives.
