Professor of Art History at the University of Oviedo. Vice-Rector for University Extension and Cultural Projection. She has taught in master's degrees, doctorates and courses at various universities and institutions (Schools of Architecture of A Coruña and Seville and the Polytechnic of Valencia; Faculties of Castilla la Mancha, Zaragoza and Santiago de Compostela. She has been a collaborator of the Department of Graphic Expression of Architecture at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Seville. She is currently a professor in the doctoral programs with a quality mention "The Medieval City" and "The cities of the Atlantic Arc. Cultural heritage and urban development", with teaching linked to the conservation of the historic city. She has participated in different multidisciplinary research projects and carried out research stays at the universities of Castilla la Mancha, Michel de Montaige-Bordeaux 3 and Granada, all of them related to her current lines of research. These focus on late medieval architecture (Juan de Cologne) and on the theory and history of restoration. She is currently also developing her research on the field of restoration in Spain during the period Francoist, on the figures of Manuel Gómez-Moreno and Alejandro Ferrant and the restoration of wooden and clay architecture. Member of the research group Asturias Medieval and the national group I.P.E.C. (Investigation of Cultural Heritage in Contemporary Spain). Co-founder of the Acadèmia del Partal (Free Association of professionals in monumental restoration in Spain). She has received the extraordinary doctoral award "Juan Uría" from the University of Oviedo on Asturian research topics and the Aula de Pau de Mieres for her contribution to the dissemination of Asturian cultural heritage.
